Baby Shower Advice Book

A sweet baby shower advice book for two married doctors having their first baby girl! (Hence the "Use only as directed") These pictures were taken before I spiral bound it and added a bunch of ribbons to the binding. I really liked how it turned out.

Flower Arrangments

Our church had a birthday party for the time the women's organization was founded. We had a progressive dinner in the different rooms in the church with different themes. My rooms theme was Divine Nature and Individual Worth. I made some paper dolls that represented many different walks of life from a grandma to a tennis player. From a gardner to a bride and from a graduate to a business women etc. It was a fun evening and everyone enjoyed my centerpieces.

I belong to a card group once a month we do some Stamp'n Up. This card was designed by my good friend Cheryl. She is really good at using stamps.

Another Birthday!

It was another birthday in our family. This was a fun card I made with the Home Accents cartridge. It is as 5.25 inch square card that fits into a 5.5 inch envelope nicely.

Welcome Carlie

We've added another creative power to the blog!  My baby sister, Carlie! She's got some yummy ideas to share along with some tutorials. I can't wait to see what she posts! Welcome Carlie!

We love you SNOW much!

I created this card to say "thank you" for all the wonderful meals and gifts that were brought to us after we had our baby. I used a pink and red theme and delivered or mailed them around the Valentine's holiday. Hence the "love you" in the inside.

I used a Cuttlebug embossing folder for the front "thank you" embossing and the snow friends cart for the little guy on top.  I was excited to get this cart, but I'll tell you, making more than about 2 of these snowmen takes the fun out of card making. This cart is better made for my mom's one-of-a-kind cards, than my taste for mass production.

You are DINO-MITE!

Here are the Valentines I made for my son's kindergarten class! I'm SOOOO not into Batman and Dora, so these were a must-do for the LOVE holiday. Knowing they were just going to get chucked, I kept them simple. We taped a candy to the back of each one and my son signed his name on the fronts. They probably took the same amount of time to make as going to the store to buy.  I used an insert shape from Fabulous Finds for the heart and the dinosaurs are all from Paper Dolls Dress Up.

Birthday Cards

January and February are busy birthday months. Here are some cards I made for my two sons.
I have to sneak our Son-in-Laws birthday card in first. His birthday was last April, but my daughter just sent me the pictures. He is majoring in computer science and always has his head in the computer, so this was just a fun way to encourage him to enjoy life, but I know he enjoys life with his head in the computer too. The little hamick was a great place to tuck some cash!

This is my January son's birthday card. He opened it up and said he didn't like it... Well, you can't please them all. I think the 30 candles were too much for him. Reality is setting in...
This is my oldest son's birthday card. He and my husband are born on the same day, Feb 8th 30 year and 12 hours apart! He loves to have fun so I thought this would be fun for him.

Newest additon

If you've been wondering where I've been, he's here!  Our little guy arrived the end of December weighing a mere 8 pounds 10 ounces. He truly is a bundle of joy and we're so blessed to have him in our family.

It's taken some time to get back into life, especially since he came so close to Christmas.  But slowly I've been organizing. I've unburried my sewing machine and Cricut from beneath all my projects.  We're not sleeping through the night yet, but I'm anxious to be creative again!

Gift set

I have the sweetest neighbor.  She's so good to always have a gift for each of my children for the holidays. I've been wanting to do a little gift set of homemade cards for her for sometime now.  While I was preparing for my son's Kindergarten Christmas party, on a whim I decided to make some gift cards for his two teachers. While I was at it, I made some for my neighbor too.  They are pretty simple (I've been doing a lot of "simple" being 9 months pregnant.), but I think they turned out nicely.

Birthday: I did two of these. So you will see two different fronts, but the inside was the same for both.

Fancy Nancy

Back in November I threw my daughter a Fancy Nancy birthday party.

The Thank You card we made for each little girl who attended was made by my sweet 4 year old.  She painted the cards, then I cut out the crown from the Celebration's cart, glued, glittered and delivered! I thought they all turned out so cute and each was personalized by her!

 

 

Christmas Thank You

I made a whole slew of these as "thank yous" for some very talented people at church. They helped with the Christmas party, so my card went along with the Holiday season. The front (top) was cut with the card feature on Joys of the Season cart. The embossing is a Cuttlebug folder, The inside, (below) has the quote pasted on top of the cutout from the front.

Christmas Class Party

All 24 kindergarteners received one of these festive holiday treat bags at my son's Christmas class party..  The tree was cut 4" I believe from Stretch Your Imagination.

Since I knew they would just get devoured, then thrown out, I didn't put a lot of detail into them.  I did do a bit more with a two-toned sillouette look for the teacher.

The party was fun and the kids loved their bags!

Let it Snow!

I made this card for a friend to give to his wife. He gave her an Expressions and so I wanted to show off what fun things it can do. I had fun playing dressups with these cute little snowpeople!

Winter Wonderland

I used one of those darling snowmen from Winter Wonderland and that cute squirrel. I also used the snowflake MS punch for the corners and the snowflake embossing folder for the back ground.
